“Donald Trump dead from fatal heart attack!”

Wow!  Did I get your attention with this false news!

It is based on an 2007 WrestleMania event.  I’ll let you read the details at http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2017/jan/04/thenewyorkeveningcom/news-trumps-death-fake-his-wrestlemania-appearance/

There are a whole bunch of web sites that put out almost any kind of distorted news.  Politifact uncovers many of them.  This particular item was given a “Pants on Fire” rating.

Politifact is really non-partisan, but some of those who it criticizes don’t like being exposed.  Unfortunately, those who need criticism more often act offended more often.

Another good site for fact checking is FactCheck.org, a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center.  Vanessa Schipani really took a good look at some of the Republican small concessions on climate change: http://www.factcheck.org/2017/03/precision-in-climate-science/.

Whatever you read or watch, be sure to use more than one source for your news.

By the way, the worst I wish for Donald Trump is that he sneak off into the sunset with his tales between his legs.

97 percent of astronomers say Earth orbits Sun

Three percent claim that not enough evidence has been collected.

True Fact has discovered that these "astronomers" are in the employ of the Flat Earth Society.  True Fact has also discovered that Flat Earth Society has been primarily funded by John Bigbucks, a billionaire who has been denied contracts with NASA repeatedly.

Although some sites use “True Fact” as part of their name, as far as I know, this pretend news organization is a figment of my imagination

Donald Trump in mourning?

Donald Trump cancelled all of his appointments when he learned his favorite wig-maker had died.

If you believe the above, then you suffer from anoesis.  Thanks for the heads-up to Eddie whose Anoesis News Service is featured in Wiley Miller’s "Non Sequitur” from http://www.gocomics.com/nonsequitur/2016/12/07 and on.

Anoesis is defined in the Merriam-Webster Medical Dictionary as "consciousness that is pure passive receptiveness without understanding or intellectual organization of the materials presented.”  See https://www.merriam-webster.com/medical/anoesis

If you quote the first paragraph without the following paragraphs, then you are perpetuating false news.

A more common term for anoesis is gullibility.  And gullibility knows no political party, religious or political belief, or social standing.
